The Police Ruined My Relaxing Afternoon With A Warrant To Search My House
They were looking for my ex-husband but asked if they could search my home to ensure I wasn’t hiding him. I wanted to say no, but they had a warrant.
I’ve had this in my drafts for six months. It happened in February. :)
My ex-husband has been missing for several weeks. He jumped bail on an assault with a deadly weapon charge. Apparently, he’s scared he will go to prison, so he decides not to show up to court.
The bondsman and sheriff’s office called me to find out if I knew his whereabouts. We share children, so it’s not a crazy idea to assume I would know where to find him. I didn’t.
The last I heard, he was at a men’s shelter after his second wife kicked him out and divorced him. Of course, he believes he was a victim and his second ex-wife is toxic.
Boy, does that sound familiar?
He smeared my name to anyone who would listen. When his now ex-wife filed for divorce, he crawled back, trying to get me to divorce my husband and ride in the sunset with him.
That would be a HELL NO from me. I learned my lesson in 2014.
