Seattle High Schooler Fails Quiz For Saying ‘Only Women Get Pregnant’

The 10th grader’s mother spoke to a conservative radio show to express her anger at the school, asking if it’s legal for the school to teach such “unscientific lessons as a fact.”

A Seattle high schooler flunked a true or false quiz in his Ethics Studies World History class for marking on his test that only women can get pregnant and only men have penises. He marked both statements as accurate, prompting his teacher to mark those as incorrect answers.

The teacher said the student failed the “knowledge check.” The mother appeared on the radio show The Jason Rantz Show. She asked to remain anonymous to protect her son’s identity.

New York Post reports that the mother has trouble understanding how it’s legal to teach children “unscientific political, social issues” as facts and penalize them for not agreeing with the new social norms.

“I keep trying to wrap my head around how it is legal to teach inaccurate information and force students to answer against their beliefs or receive negative scores,” the mom told the KTTH radio show.
