My Best Friend’s Death Hit Me Hard, Her Killer Is Still At Large

My best friend died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. I had just talked to her a few minutes before the tributes started pouring in on social media. Jessie’s car was hit by another vehicle; they drove off. The police are still looking for them in connection with my friend’s death.

She was young and a mother to three. Jessie had just gotten on her feet and was doing so well. I was so proud of the woman she was becoming and loved her dearly.

The worst part is she was my person. I could talk to her about anything. She never judged me. She was always in my corner, even when struggling with her own issues.

She had a smile that could light up the world. She had an infectious laugh. Every time she would laugh, I would start laughing just because her laugh made me laugh.

Jessie Was My Rick During Tough Times

After my grandma died in 2011, she was the first person I called. Jessie told me everything would be okay, even if I felt like my world was imploding. Grandma raised me from infancy. My mother was not a fit parent.

Grandma took over and protected me from my mother my whole life.
