Michigan Parents Sue School Over Pronouns, Claims School Hid Their Kid’s Transgender Status

The school failed to notify the parents about the child’s preferred pronoun, leading to the Christian parents yanking the youngster out of school.

A lawsuit against a Rockford, Michigan school district has been filed for using male pronouns for their child, who was assigned female at birth, without their knowledge. KSN reports that Dan and Jennifer Meads’s child attended the school district starting in kindergarten.

In middle school, the student started talking to the school counselor. The counselor stayed in contact with the parents about the child, communicating about the child’s mental health, school work, and the recent diagnosis of autism.

In May 2022, the student asked his counselor to tell the teacher to use the pronouns he/him and provided another name he wanted to use. Upon entering the 8th grade, all the teachers used his preferred pronouns and name. However, the school should have notified the parents of the student’s change.
