Manson Family Member Linda Kasabian Dead At 73, Helped Put Charles Manson Behind Bars
The woman who brought Charles Manson down is dead at 73. Linda Kasabian testified against the Manson family, securing their convictions.
Linda Kasabian, the Manson family lookout person during their 1969 murder spree, died at 73. People reports that Kasabian had been living in Washington state when she died and had changed her last name to Chiochios to conceal her identity. Linda’s death certificate did not reveal her cause of death.
Kasabian was a crucial witness in the Manson family trials in 1970. She was granted immunity for her testimony, which led to the conviction of cult leader Charles Manson and his co-conspirators.
The Manson crime spree left seven people dead. Kasabian did not participate in either murder, the Tate and LaBianca homes, as her role was being the lookout.
Linda was only 20 when she moved to Spahn Ranch, an old movie set where Manson and his followers lived at the time of the murders. Two months after she moved to Spahn Ranch, Manson revealed his plan to commit a series of murders to incite a race war.
