Joel & Victoria Osteen Share Their ‘Strange’ Secret For Marriage Success

When I was 17, I spent some time with my uncle. He lived in Victoria, Texas. He was the associate pastor of a church, Faith Christian Church. The head pastor was Jim Graff. His wife was Joel Osteen’s sister, Tamara.
Since my uncle was close friends with Jim, I got an inside look at the Osteens. At the time, Joel was barely over 20 and newly married to his wife, and nothing like the man you see in his videos and sermons. I have nothing but great things to say about Tamara and her parents. They were all very friendly and appeared genuine.
Joel Osteen is a name most of us know well. Some love him, and others despise him. Celebrities such as Mariah Carey and Kanye West regularly attend his church.
He is the senior pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, a position previously occupied by his father, John. Since Joel is a celebrity of some sort, it’s easy to assume you know him. But none of us knows much about him besides what he allows us to see.
