Iranian Assassin Targeting Trump-Era Officials: FBI Launches Manhunt
The FBI agency in Miami, Florida, issued an alert about the Iranian assassin wanted for questioning.
The FBI is looking for an Iranian intelligence officer who reportedly was overseeing a plot to assassinate current and former federal government officials tied to Donald Trump. People Crime reports that his plot took shape in retaliation to the 2020 airstrike that killed an Iranian military official.
The FBI agency in Miami, Florida, issued an alert about the Iranian assassin wanted for questioning. The alert claims that the man, Majid Dastjani Farahani, has ties to Iran and Venezuela.
“Majid Dastjani Farahani, an Iranian intelligence officer, is wanted for questioning in connection with the recruitment of individuals for various operations in the United States, to include lethal targeting of current and former United States Government officials as revenge for the killing of IRGC-QF Commander Qasem Soleimani,” the FBI Seeking Information Poster said.
