In 2016, I voted for Hillary Clinton because I believed in her vision for this country and its future. We all know she lost to Donald J. Trump, which was surprising, but we moved forward.

Over the next few years, Trump surprised me. I started liking his policies. I followed him on social media. He seemed like a good politician, as much as I could see.

Then COVID-19 hit. His answers to COVID-19 surprised me. At one point, he suggested drinking bleach water to disinfect your body. At this point, I was losing faith in Trump and turning my back on the republican party.

I did not vote in 2020. I was going through a rough time in my life, so I sat that election out. I have voted religiously since I turned 18, but circumstances made voting impossible.

I accepted Joe Biden as our new president. I actually like Joe. He is down-to-earth and seems like a wonderful man. We got to know him through Obama’s presidency. Biden was familiar.

I don’t think Biden has done a horrible job. There is clearly something wrong with him. I am not a doctor, so I won’t speculate on his health. But as a fellow human, I hope he is getting the medical attention…
