Former Mayo Clinic Poison Expert Doctor Accused Of Fatally Poisoning His Wife

A Former Mayo Clinic resident is facing murder charges after allegedly poisoning his wife with gout medication. True Crime Daily reports that the couple was facing marital problems.
KAAL-TV reports that Betty Bowman went to the Mayo Clinic ER with dehydration and diarrhea on August 16. Over the next few days, her organs began to fail, and unexplained cardiac issues surfaced. Just four days after being admitted into the hospital, Bowman passed away.
Bowman’s obituary stated she passed away due to sudden inset autoimmune and infectious illness.
Law enforcement alleges that her husband and former poison expert, Connor Bowman, poisoned Betty with gout medication, even though she did not have the disorder. Connor reportedly told her doctors that his wife likely died from hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
