Many refuse to believe that Jesus’ appearance was not light brown hair, blue eyes, and white skin tone. Instead, he would have sported a darker skin tone, brown eyes, and dark hair.

Whatever your religious affiliation, it is widely accepted by historians that Jesus, the man, did exist. However, what hasn’t been agreed upon is what Jesus looked like.

As a Galilean man who was born and raised in the Middle East, one would logically assume that the common first guess as to his appearance would align with that of a typical Middle Eastern man of his time. Surprisingly, this has not been the case.

Over centuries, artistic depictions of Jesus have evolved significantly, leading to a widely recognized image of Jesus as a white man, particularly in Western cultures. This image has been so deeply ingrained that many Western Christians now dogmatically protect and propagate this portrayal.
